RULES
Studio Participation Criteria:

Must have a minimum of 25 dancers participating in the Dance Wave event.

Must enter a minimum of 6 group routines, with a maximum of 12 group routines on board to participate:

Small Groups: 4 - 8 dancers

Large Groups: 9 - 14 dancers

Lines: 15+ dancers

Division Breakdown:
All ages as of January 1st, 2024:

Petite: ages 4 to 8
-
Junior: ages 9 to 12
-
Teen: ages 13 to 15
-
Senior: ages 16 & Over

Routine Age Divisions & Categories:
​
Each studio will be required to enter a minimum of 6 routines or a maximum of 12 routines. Each studio will only be allowed to dance ONE ROUTINE from the age divisions and categories listed below.

For example, one studio will NOT be allowed to enter 2 Teen Small Groups.

Tidal Wave Showcase:

The Expert Panel's "Top Pick" from each studio’s Petite/Junior routines and Teen/Senior routines will advance to the "Final Tidal Wave Showcase" and have a chance at catching the coveted "Tidal Wave Award"

Each studio is guaranteed 1 Petite or Junior routine and 1 Teen or Senior routine to perform in the "Final Tidal Wave Showcase"
